Accessibility Features
The following features have been employed to improve the accessibility of this site:- Validation with the W3C Validator and Cynthia Says Site to ensure compliance with HTML 4.0, Section 508 standards and/or the WCAG guidelines.
- Every page can now be viewed in a High Visibility format, yellow text on a black background and a larger font size, by selecting the option at the top of the page.
- Text size can be increased in different ways, depending on which Web Browser you are using. In Internet Explorer, go to "View" on the Toolbar and select a larger size. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome,Netscape or Safari, pressing the "Ctrl" key and the "+" key together will increase the text size. In Opera, select "View" and "Zoom". Opera has a number of other accessibility settings built in.
- All (I hope!) pictures on the site have alternative text descriptions.
- Most links on the site have a Title - those that don't, will have soon.
- Javascript and other scripting has only been employed sparingly and on peripherals such as advertisements and should not affect your enjoyment of the site.
- I have tried to make this site viewable in any web browser and support the "Any Browser Campaign". For further information, click on the image below.
- Style is controlled throughout the site by external style sheets.
