Disability Equality

Equality for disabled people is not just about having equal access to buildings or equal opportunities in employment. It is much more about having the right to choices. Choice as to where we live, who we live with, who helps us in the tasks that we find more difficult, where we go etc..

It is my belief that everybody should have this right, regardless of their impairment. We are all different, we are all unique and, as a Society, we should celebrate and value diversity. One of the core messages that I try to impart whenever I work with groups of children is that we must all see the person first - not the disability.

If you are responsible for a group of young people and feel that this message would be of help in developing their attitudes as they grow, please fill out an  ENQUIRY FORM
